As I am still
There is motion within
A fluttering of the heart
An outpouring of music and creativity
I can hear it now
The song of my Soul
Expressing eternity with magnificent beauty
I and the other I’s dance
There is only play, love, and laughter

As time flows on
With its never-ending array of people and circumstances
I must liken it to a hall of mirrors
Chasing new reflections of the same thing
Again and again I run this circle
Chasing illusion

I ask myself, I wonder
Where does the balance lie?
Wisdom that spans the millenia
What am I to make of evolution?
Will there come a revolution?
Exponential progression, a modern marvel
Will we flourish, or remain larval?
The future to come, there must be more
Yet modern man is empty to his core
Looking to the past, peace of mind
Thinking of what is to come, my excitement is aroused
If things pan out, the future holds no bounds
What can be said of the wise old sage?
What does he have to offer the new age?
The ancient truth remains, integration
We chart a new territory, adaptation

Wow, I officially got published! “Journal of Epistemology” published a poem, an essay, and a picture of mine. She also wrote a paragraph towards the beginning of the Journal saying good things about me and my work. She particularly talked about my essay “Dreamer,” which she at the end compared its potential to John Lennon’s song “Imagine.”
She said she would like me to submit more work for upcoming editions! AWESOME! 😀

Oh Dreamer

Oh dreamer
The world is your mirror
Fools think themselves awake
Outdated modes of thought
Dust renders their image unrecognizable
But I recognize you, sleepwalker
Dreaming new worlds into existence
Detached from past failures
Back to sleep
Dreaming of paradise

Chaos

An object arises
Its disintegration looms just ahead
My focus shifts
It is gone, back into the undifferentiated energy field
Its existence lies only in my mind
I stop projecting
All is gone
Chaos

External is the illusion
There is only within
I am that which I seek
Yet I’m the one looking
Awareness turned on itself
There is only consciousness

Time to Pretend

Self is a part
The result of fragmentation
I give up differentiation
And find a new appreciation
For life without ‘I’
Only he who is nothing
Can be anything
An ecstatic interweaving of endless roles
A cosmic dance of temporary identity
There is no me
I am gone
Time to pretend

A World Beyond

I glimpse a world beyond
It is here!
Its inhabitants reach out to me
Transcendence!
I am gone, ascended to higher planes
Perfection!
Time flows on, and the world regains its footing
Where did it go?

Bliss

Attraction that spans the universe
Drawing into itself all of space and time
An orgasm in the coming together of soul and existence itself
You are a nothingness consisting of both infinity and eternity
I am all, and so need nothing
Bliss
